中國廣東，既有海上絲綢之路的千年底蘊，也涌動着「中國矽谷」的創新活力。廣東珠三角與粵東西北鄉村的發展不平衡，成為制約其高質量發展的「最大短板」。世界上的任何一個發展中經濟體，經濟發展的不平衡和不充分都普遍存在。美國紀實攝影師 Drew 長期關注這一全球命題。他走進廣東梅州柚林、茂名荔園、潮州鳳凰山，探尋廣東「土特產」變「金特產」的實踐樣板，記錄以新質生產力賦能鄉村特色產業、以區域協調促進共同富裕的中國智慧、中國方案。

　In Guangdong, China, the millennia-old legacy of the Maritime Silk Road coexists with the vibrant innovation of « China’s Silicon Valley ». The uneven development between the Pearl River Delta region and rural areas in eastern, western and northern Guangdong has become the greatest bottleneck constraining Guangdong’s high-quality development. Such unbalanced and insufficient development is a common challenge faced by developing economies around the world.

　American documentary photographer Drew has long focused on this global issue. He traveled to pomelo groves in Meizhou, Lychee orchards in Maoming and Fenghuang Mountain in Chaozhou, exploring practical examples of how Guangdong is turning local specialties into high-value industries. Through his lens, he has documented China’s wisdom and solutions - empowering rural characteristic industries with new quality productive forces, and promoting common prosperity through coordinated regional development.
