香港婦協代表,副主席洪羽緁於日內瓦時間18日在聯合國人權理事會議題三一般性辯論環節發言。全文如下:
Hong Kong Federation of Women is a non-profit NGO advocating for gender equality and women's empowerment.
Since our inception in 1993, we have witnessed Hong Kong flourish for the past 28 years under the 「One Country, Two Systems」. Today, with the National Security Laws providing stability and protection, Hong Kong’s knowledge-driven economy prospers, ensuring a high-quality of life and liberties for both residents and international friends.
As a result, Hong Kong has recently been recognised as one of the world’s leading innovation hubs, a forerunner in digital competitiveness, and ranked fourth globally in the World Talent Ranking.
Furthermore, building on our common-law legal traditions and internationalism, we launched the International Organisation for Mediation this year, promoting peaceful, rules-based dispute resolution on the global stage.
If there were any truth about any allegations of 「systemic erosion in enjoyment of human rights」 in Hong Kong, such achievements would simply not be possible.
We are deeply concerned by the misleading narratives that continue to contradict the spirit of constructive dialogue and cooperation.
We extend an open invitation to all to visit Hong Kong and experience our vibrant society firsthand—a dynamic center of finance, culture, sports, and international exchange.
We also eagerly look forward to Beijing +30 next month, where we hope to strengthen global solidarity on gender equality and women’s empowerment.
At a time of shared global challenges, from climate change to conflict, unity and cooperation are more crucial than ever.
[We are confident that Hong Kong will continue to contribute positively to the global human rights cause.]
Thank you.
