　Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up, Shenzhen has developed rapidly, creating a great miracle that makes the world look at it with new eyes. Shenzhen today is the epitome and witness of the significant historical change and rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Through the sharing of compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan areas of China and the sharing of international friends, this column tells about their experiences and feelings of studying, working, living and starting a business in Shenzhen. 　「創業是開頭難，中間難，後面更難」，陳鋒明笑著說道，既然都是難，不如大膽去做去嘗試。也正如陳鋒明給自己公司起的名字inDare一樣，陳鋒明稱其意指勇敢追求的設計態度，敢於追求夢想，敢於打破常規，甚至敢於改變過去的設計模式。

　當初聽說陳鋒明要去深圳創業，一些香港朋友曾表示過諸多質疑。陳鋒明說，現在仍有很多香港年輕人缺乏對內地的認識，也不太願意了解，他們關於內地的信息還停留在父母所講述的階段，「這是兩地交流開放不足導致的」。

　在陳鋒明看來，香港的旅遊、金融、服務等領域的確有很多優勢，但在創業者眼中，香港的創業環境缺乏較為完善的系統。相比之下，深圳的政策「很明確」，陳鋒明表示，政府鼓勵年輕人創業，關於租金、稅收的補貼補助等政策設置也很透明，這是陳鋒明選擇在深圳創業的一個主要原因。另一個原因是內地龐大的市場。陳鋒明說，珠三角地區是製造業王國，是產品輸出的重地，而深圳地處珠三角核心，亦擁有非常好的工業製造基礎。「設計公司可以服務的企業和品牌很多」，陳鋒明稱，包括華為、美的、TCL等在內的知名企業，都是inDare合作的客戶。

　不過，最主要的原因，則是「有着一顆不安分的心」。創立inDare之前，陳鋒明一直在香港從事產品設計與品牌設計工作，「但總要打破舒適區」。抱着「試一下」的想法，2015年10月，陳鋒明在深圳建立了inDare中國總部，並於翌年建立inDare惠州設計分部。兩年間，陳鋒明带領inDare從小團隊迅速發展成為40多人的專業設計服務機構。

　工業設計、品牌、多媒體、動畫、交互空間……陳鋒明說，inDare的優勢並不是做單獨的某一項，而是每一項都做，「專注於打通設計的各個環節」，提供從品牌建設到產品策略到市場推廣的貫穿統籌性設計服務。如今內地很多企業非常上進，不斷地自我創新、自我超越。每一個企業都有自己核心競爭力，有些是技術，有些是品牌營銷推廣，有些是銷售能力。然而，隨着產品屬性更趨複雜，消費層次日漸豐富，陳鋒明希望能夠帮助企業提升設計價值，「把設計作為企業策略，讓消費者全面了解品牌的追求」。

　作為全球最短時間獲最多設計獎項的設計團隊，inDare將德國紅點設計大獎、德國IF設計大獎、日本Good Design設計獎等眾多高含金量的設計大獎，一一攬入囊中。談及對設計的態度，陳鋒明稱，「設計师一定要認真對待作品」，要做就要做到最好。「不要太看重利益，想清楚自己要做什麼，能夠實現什麼樣的價值」。在陳鋒明眼中，創業並不是一場金錢的遊戲，而是一個既可帮助別人、又能實現自己夢想的過程，同時，在這個過程中享受工作，體驗生命。

　Chen Fengming: break the rules, achieve self-realization

　「Entrepreneurship is hard at the beginning, hard in the middle, and even harder at the end,」 Chen Fengming said with a smile. Since it's all difficult, it's better to try boldly. Chen named his company inDare, which means the design attitude of daring to pursue dreams, breaking the rules, and changing the past design mode.

　Hearing that Chen Fengming was going to Shenzhen to start a business, some Hong Kong friends of him have questioned many times. Chen said that there are still many young people in Hong Kong who lack understanding of the mainland and are not willing to understand it. Their information about the mainland is mainly from their parents. 「This is caused by the lack of exchanges and opening-up between the two places,」 Chen said.

　According to Chen Fengming, Hong Kong has many advantages in tourism, finance, service, and other fields. However, in the eyes of entrepreneurs, the entrepreneurial environment in Hong Kong lacks a comprehensive system. By contrast, the policy in Shenzhen is 「clear」. Shenzhen government encourages young people to start businesses, and the policies of rent and tax subsidies are also transparent, which is a significant reason why Chen chose to start his business in Shenzhen. Another reason is the massive market in the mainland. Chen said that the Pearl River Delta region is a 「manufacturing Kingdom」 and an essential place of product output. Shenzhen is located at the core of the Pearl River Delta and has an excellent industrial manufacturing base. 「There are many companies and brands that design companies can serve,「 Chen said, 」Many well-known enterprises, including Huawei, Midea, and TCL, are customers of inDare.

　However, the main reason is 「having a restless heart」. Before founding inDare, Chen Fengming had been working in Hong Kong in product design and brand design. 「It is necessary to break the comfort zone.」With the idea of 「have a try」, he established inDare's headquarters in Shenzhen in October 2015 and the design branch in Huizhou the following year. In two years, inDare has developed rapidly from a small team into a professional design service organization with more than 40 people under Chen's leadership.

　Industrial design, brand, multimedia, animation, interactive space... Chen said that inDare's advantages are not to do a single item but to do all of them. 「The company focuses on connecting all aspects of design」 and provides a comprehensive design service from brand building to product strategy and marketing. Nowadays, many enterprises in the mainland are very progressive, constantly innovating and surpassing themselves. Each company has its own core competencies; some are good at technology, some are good at brand marketing and promotion, and some has strong sales capabilities. However, with the complexity of product attributes and the increasement of consumption, Chen Fengming hopes to help companies enhance the value of design. 「Taking design as a corporate strategy so that consumers can fully understand the pursuit of the brand」.

　As the design team that won the most design awards in the shortest time globally, inDare has won numerous important design awards such as Red Dot Design Award, iF Product Design Award, and Good Design Award. When it comes to the attitude towards design, Chen said: 「Designers must take the work seriously and do the best. Don't look too much at the profit; think clearly about what you want to do and what value you can achieve.」 In Chen Fengming's eyes, entrepreneurship is not a game of money but a process that can help others and realize his own dreams. Meanwhile, it is also a process to enjoy work and experience life.
