　Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up, Shenzhen has developed rapidly, creating a great miracle that makes the world look at it with new eyes. Shenzhen today is the epitome and witness of the significant historical change and rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Through the sharing of compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan areas of China and the sharing of international friends, this column tells about their experiences and feelings of studying, working, living and starting a business in Shenzhen. It shows the Shenzhen temperament of daring to venture, openness and inclusiveness, being pragmatic and law-abiding, pursuing excellence, and Shenzhen’s charm of being suitable for living, business and tourism. Under the historic opportunity of building the first pilot demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics, Shenzhen is starting a new journey with the momentum of "reform does not stop, opening up does not stop", and as a tribute to the centenary of the CPC.

　從徐凱祥的創業之路，仿佛能夠看到十年間內地市場轉型發展的縮影。2006年到2008年，專注搜尋引擎；2009年到2014年，創立職業社交網站；2015年至今，致力於智慧均能化，也就是現在的「投石私人智庫」。常規港式教育、密歇根大學本科學位、南加州大學MBA、紐約高盛投資銀行工作經歷，徐凱祥用自己略帶「洋味兒」的背景，以深圳為起點，走上了一條「尋根」的道路，也走上了一條自我探索的旅途。創業是他的哲學，也是他的修行。

　作為一個土生土長的香港人，徐凱祥更多接觸到的是濃厚的西方文化，雖然一直對中國的歷史與文化很有興趣，但並沒有渠道學習和了解。「那時候的香港就是好多商人，全無理想，或者理想就是賺錢，偶像就是李嘉誠」。但在美國學習與工作期間，他得以接觸到很多旅美的中國精英，認識了一些擁有宏大理想和世界觀的「中國大咖」，也從中感受到曾經缺失的文化自豪感和榮譽感。

　正因如此，徐凱祥開始認真學習國語。「要去看最優秀的人並向之學習」，因為很大程度上正是他們代表了中國的國力，定義了進步的速度與幅度，是他們拉動了社會經濟與人文的發展。也就是那個時候，徐凱祥確定了自己要在內地創業的理想。在南加州大學讀MBA的第二年暑假，徐凱祥前往北京、上海、重慶、江浙等地進行考察。之所以最終選擇深圳，徐凱祥說原因很簡單：一是深圳由外來人口組成，包容性非常好；二是兩地交流互動較多，自己的香港本土優勢和資源，能夠在基於深圳開拓內地事業的過程中有一定幫助。

　2006年，徐凱祥在深圳「無依無靠地開啟了創業之旅」。深圳的包容與開明，使他很快融入其中；政策的便捷和開明，也令他屢屢受惠。例如2010年，徐凱祥的公司受到深圳外專局破格任命為中國國際人才交流大會史上首個協辦大會的民營企業，他本人也於同年被官方推薦以「港青在內地創業典範」的身份擔任2010年廣州亞運會的火炬手。徐凱祥稱，內地政府的「大膽」支持，遠勝香港甚至是美國。

　趁著國家各行業逐步進入轉型升級期，2015年，徐凱祥與共事多年的創業夥伴們創立了「投石私人智庫」，專為民營企業家以及地方政府提供針對企業與產業創新的諮詢服務。徐凱祥說，國家的民營企業正快速利用新技術和「中國模式」來開拓全球業務，投石相信國家的這些「商業力量」已然成為商業變革的主導力量，所以我們會深入到每一個細分領域的「冠軍」背後，輔助變革。

　在投石私人智庫的企業家培育中，徐凱祥發現，近幾年來海外創業者和IP擁有者非常積極地尋求在中國的發展機會，甚至一些海外畢業生也非常積極地尋找在中國的工作機會和商業機會。有鑑於此，徐凱祥認為，近在眼前的香港人更應抓緊機會，「不要守著一畝三分地，不要做井底之蛙」，不能再以十年前的眼光看中國了。他希望能夠鼓勵香港的學生、年輕人通過不同渠道接觸內地各界精英人士，也希望香港政府、社團能夠多為香港學生提供到內地實習的機會，給予他們鍛煉自己、提升自己的平台。

　Xu Kaixiang：seeking roots, self-exploration

　From Xu Kaixiang's entrepreneurial road, we can see the epitome of the transformation and development of the mainland market in the past decade. From 2006 to 2008, he focused on search engines; from 2009 to 2014, he established professional social networking sites; from 2015 to now, he has dedicated himself to connecting global wisdom by operating Toushi Innovative Consulting Company. With a conventional Hong Kong-style basic education, a Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, an MBA from the University of Southern California, and work experience at Goldman Sachs in New York, Xu Kaixiang, with a slightly "foreign" background, has embarked on a road of root-seeking and self-exploration starting from Shenzhen. Entrepreneurship is not only his philosophy, but also his practice.

　As a native of Hong Kong, Xu Kaixiang is more exposed to the strong Western culture. Although he has always been very interested in Chinese history and culture, he has no channel to learn about it. "At that time, there were many businessmen in Hong Kong. They had no ideal at all, or their ideal was to make money, and their idol was Li Ka-shing "，Xu said. However, during his study and work in the United States, he was able to meet many Chinese elites with grand ideals and world outlook, and also felt the sense of cultural pride and honor that he once lacked.

　It is for this reason that Xu Kaixiang began to study Mandarin seriously. He said, "We need to see the best people and learn from them, "because, to a large extent, they represent China's national strength, define the speed and range of progress, and promote the development of social economy and humanities. At that time, Xu Kaixiang determined his ideal of starting a business in the mainland. During his second year of MBA at the University of Southern California, Xu Kaixiang went to Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang. He said that the reasons why he finally chose Shenzhen are very simple: first, Shenzhen is made up of a migrant population, which is very inclusive; second, there are many exchanges and interactions between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Hong Kong's local advantages and resources can be beneficial in the process of developing mainland business based in Shenzhen.

　In 2006, Xu Kaixiang "embarked on a journey of entrepreneurship without any support" in Shenzhen. Shenzhen's tolerance and openness made him quickly integrate into it. He also benefited from the convenience and openness of the policies. For example, in 2010, Xu Kaixiang's company became the first private enterprise appointed as the co-organizer of the Conference on International Exchange of Professionals in the history by Shenzhen Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs. In the same year, he was officially recommended as the torch bearer of the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games as "Hong Kong Youth Entrepreneurship Model in the mainland". Xu Kaixiang said that the mainland government's "bold" support is far better than that of Hong Kong and even the United States.

　Taking advantage of the gradual transformation and upgrading of various industries in the country, Xu Kaixiang, together with his long-term entrepreneurial partners, founded  Toushi Innovative Consulting Company in 2015 to provide consulting services for private entrepreneurs and local governments on enterprise and industrial innovation. Xu Kaixiang said that the country's private enterprises are rapidly using new technologies and the "China model" to develop global business. Toushi believes that these "business forces" of the country have become the leading forces of business change, so the company will go deep into the "champions" of each segment to assist in the change.

　In the entrepreneurship training of Toushi Innovative Consulting Company, Xu Kaixiang found that in recent years, overseas entrepreneurs and IP owners have been very active in seeking development opportunities in China, and even some overseas graduates have been very active in looking for jobs and business opportunities in China. In view of this, Xu Kaixiang believes that the people of Hong Kong should seize the opportunity: "Don't guard only one acre of land, don't be a frog in the well, and don't look at China from the perspective of ten years ago." He hoped that Hong Kong students and young people would be encouraged to contact the mainland elites through different channels. He also hoped that the Hong Kong government and associations would provide more opportunities for Hong Kong students to practice in the mainland and give them a platform to exercise and improve themselves.
