　Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up, Shenzhen has developed rapidly, creating a great miracle that makes the world look at it with new eyes. Shenzhen today is the epitome and witness of the significant historical change and rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Through the sharing of compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan areas of China and the sharing of international friends, this column tells about their experiences and feelings of studying, working, living and starting a business in Shenzhen. It shows the Shenzhen temperament of daring to venture, openness and inclusiveness, being pragmatic and law-abiding, pursuing excellence, and Shenzhen’s charm of being suitable for living, business and tourism. 　美國、歐洲、新加坡、內地，在這個四選一的抉擇中，已在香港有8年從業經驗的楊永恆最終選擇了深圳。在普華永道會計師事務所（深圳)一年多的工作時間裏，他慢慢依戀上深圳，並由此愛上內地其他城市，這放在十年前，是不可想象的事情，因為一次糟糕的大學實習經歷，讓他對來內地有種恐懼感。

　從香港大學MBA畢業後，楊永恆就來到了普華永道（香港），憑著聰穎和勤奮，很快成為業務尖子。兩年前，上司找到他談話，說有一個「走出去」的機會，可在美國、歐洲、新加坡、內地等四個地方任選一個。前三個地方楊永恆不用過語言關，業務上手會很快，而內地就有挑戰，但他最終選擇了與香港一河之隔的深圳。來深圳之前，楊永恆以為自己的普通話說得還不錯，沒想到同一件事，在香港他只需一小時就可以解決，在深圳竟用了兩天。因為客戶是重慶人，說話有口音，同時用中文表達術語也與以前不同，聽不懂，電話會議剛開場就卡了殼。一個不複雜的問題，在溝通環節上竟然花了兩天功夫才拿出解決方案。

　沒想到一開始的工作就這麼難，楊永恆有點動搖。好在他的上司是位20年前就來內地發展的香港人，在他的鼓勵下，楊永恆用了三個月的時間終於適應過來，學會了漢語拼音打字，普通話寫說的能力也有了提升。

　當然深圳的工作有苦有樂，最吸引楊永恆的是，每周都有新的東西，香港變化沒這麼快。而且內地客戶往往要快速提交解決方案，節奏比香港還要快。楊永恆說，隨着滬港通、深港通的開通，以及內地與香港基金互認，業務呈現快速增長之勢。他覺得自己是來對了地方，在深圳可以見到許多在香港無法見到的客戶，這裏有更多中小型企業。在服務這些中小企過程中，他也感受到深圳創新的快速發展。

　在深圳的公司里，有同事是深港雙城跑，上班來深圳，下班回香港。但楊永恆卻沒有效仿這些同事，他從一開始就當起了「深圳人」，在公司附近租了個套房。

　楊永恆說，來深圳後，少有的幾次用了現金，現在錢包已很少用，比香港方便多了。另外，在香港他基本不吃水果，因為整個過程太繁瑣，他沒時間，可是在深圳就不同了，下載個App，隨時下單，切好的水果送上門來，他現在幾乎每天都吃水果。每到周末，楊永恆在香港的親朋好友都會來到他深圳的家中聚會，因為打掃衛生、買菜、煮飯，幾乎所有的家政服務，都可通過App來完成。楊永恆說，他太習慣深圳了，真是有點擔心回到香港居住會有太多不方便。

　不僅生活便利，深圳還是個有活力的地方。楊永恆的弟弟沒來深圳之前，對內地曾有反感和牴觸情緒。但自從在深圳工作以後，弟弟是經常來，因為他也喜歡上深圳了，覺得這裏挺好。

　Yang Yongheng: fell in love with Shenzhen, hard to leave

　Among the four choices of the United States, Europe, Singapore, and the mainland, Yang Yongheng, who has eight years of work experience in Hong Kong, finally chose Shenzhen in the mainland. During more than one year's working time in PWC Shenzhen, he gradually fell in love with Shenzhen and other cities in the mainland. Ten years ago, it was unthinkable because a period of terrible internship experience made him feel afraid of coming to the mainland.

　After graduating from the MBA program of the University of Hong Kong, Yang Yongheng joined PWC Hong Kong. With his intelligence and diligence, he soon became a top performer in the company. Two years ago, his boss came to talk to him and said that there was an opportunity to "go out"; he can choose one of the four places in the United States, Europe, Singapore, and the mainland to work. For the first three places, there was no language barrier for Yang Yongheng to conduct his business quickly. However, though there would be challenges to work in the mainland, Yang Yongheng finally chose Shenzhen. Before coming to Shenzhen, Yang Yongheng thought that he could speak Mandarin well, so he didn't expect a problem that could be solved in Hong Kong in only one hour would take two days to find solutions in Shenzhen. His Chongqing clients spokes with a strong accent, and the terminology in Chinese was different. The conference call just got stuck at the beginning because they failed to understand each other. For an uncomplicated problem, it took two days in communication to solve.

　"I didn't expect that the work can be difficult like this at the very beginning. " Yang Yongheng was a little shaken. Fortunately, his boss is a Hong Kong resident who came to the mainland 20 years ago. With his encouragement, Yang Yongheng finally got used to the situation in three months. He learned to type in pinyin and improved his ability to write and speak Mandarin.

　Of course, working in Shenzhen has ups and downs. What attracts Yang Yongheng most is that there are new things every week. Hong Kong is not changing so fast. Moreover, mainland customers often ask for quick solutions; the pace is even faster than that in Hong Kong. Yang Yongheng said that due to the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect and Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect, as well as mutual fund recognition between the mainland and Hong Kong, the business is growing rapidly. He felt that he had come to the right place. In Shenzhen, he can see many customers that he cannot gain access to in Hong Kong. There are more small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) here. In the process of serving these SMEs, he also felt the rapid development of innovation in Shenzhen.

　In PWC Shenzhen, some of Yang Yongheng's colleagues come to Shenzhen for work and come back to Hong Kong after work. However, Yang did not follow these colleagues. From the beginning, he became a "Shenzhen native" and rented a suite near the company.

　Yang Yongheng said, after coming to Shenzhen, the number of times to use cash is very little. Shenzhen is much more convenient than Hong Kong in terms of payment. In addition, in Hong Kong, he basically doesn't eat fruit because the whole process is too cumbersome, and he has no time. However, in Shenzhen, it's different. Download an App and order at any time; the cut fruit will be delivered to his door. He now eats fruit almost every day. Every weekend, Yang Yongheng's relatives and friends in Hong Kong will come to his home in Shenzhen for party. Almost all the housekeeping services, such as cleaning, shopping, cooking, can be done through an App. Yang Yongheng said that he gets used to work and live Shenzhen, and he is worried that he will face many inconveniences if returning to Hong Kong for living.

　Living in Shenzhen is convenient. Shenzhen is also a vibrant place. Before Yang Yongheng's younger brother came to Shenzhen, he had an aversion and resistance to the mainland. But since Yang Yongheng worked in Shenzhen, his younger brother often came here because he also fell in love with Shenzhen and thought it is a fantastic city.
